Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly assaulted doctors and medical staff at a private hospital in Hyderabad's LB Nagar after being informed that her condition was not serious following a medical examination.

According to reports, the incident took place at Shreshta Orange Hospital in LB Nagar at around 2 pm on Saturday, June 27. The woman had reportedly visited the hospital complaining of severe stomach pain.

Following a medical examination, doctors informed her that there was no immediate cause for concern.

Soon after receiving the diagnosis, an altercation reportedly broke out inside the hospital. A video of the incident, which has since surfaced on social media, shows the woman allegedly kicking and hitting doctors and medical staff present at the hospital.

Reacting to the incident, Dr Mohammad Momin Khan, Vice President of AIMSA (2023–26), former FAIMA Doctors Association office-bearer, and former President of the All India Students Union (2022–23), condemned the attack in a post on 'X'.

The woman later left the hospital and drove herself to another private hospital in Vanasthalipuram for further treatment.

Following a complaint lodged by the hospital's medical staff, the LB Nagar police registered a case and launched an investigation. Police said they are examining the circumstances that led to the altercation and will take action based on the findings, reports Hyderabad Mail.

Speaking to the Siasat Daily, LB Nagar Police said, “The woman is a business partner of the hospital owners. We are verifying the cause of the fight.”
