Saran: The family of a 32-year-old man has alleged medical negligence by a private nursing home in Bihar's Saran district after he died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Patna. They claimed that his condition worsened during three days of treatment at the nursing home before he was referred to a higher facility.

According to the family, the deceased, identified as Chandrashekhar Kumar Yadav, a resident of Fenhara village, was admitted to Maa Emergency Hospital at Kharati Mathura Chowk on June 28 after complaining of stomach pain and vomiting.

According to the family, the patient remained admitted to the nursing home for three days, during which his condition continued to deteriorate. They claimed he was referred to a hospital in Patna only after his health became critical, where he reportedly died while undergoing treatment.

According to a report by Dainik Jagran, the deceased's elder brothers alleged that he was treated at the nursing home for three consecutive days despite his worsening condition, and was referred to Patna only after his health became critical.

The family has accused the nursing home and the treating doctor of medical negligence and demanded strict legal action. They have also called for the nursing home to be sealed, alleging that it was operating improperly.

Following the death, local residents gathered outside the nursing home and protested, demanding an impartial investigation and action against those responsible. Police officials reached the spot, brought the situation under control and assured the protesters that the matter would be investigated fairly.

The body has been sent to Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police said further legal action will be taken based on the post-mortem findings and any formal complaint received.
