Jhansi: Panic swept through Jhansi Medical College early Friday morning after a fire broke out in the gynaecology ward, forcing patients and their attendants to rush for safety as smoke filled the area. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
The incident, which was caused by a short circuit in an electric panel box, was quickly brought under control.
Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Sachin Mahor said that at around 5 am, wires in an electrical panel caught fire, reports PTI.
