Ranipet: In a shocking incident, a multipurpose health worker (MPHW) at Kalavai Government Hospital in Ranipet allegedly stitched a patient’s wounds, raising serious concerns about patient safety in government hospitals. The incident reportedly occurred at the direction of a doctor who was attending to another emergency at the time.
According to the news reports, the incident came to light after a video circulated on social media showing a female health worker stitching wounds on a patient's hand. The patient, a resident of Kalavaiputhur, had suffered minor injuries in a bike accident and had visited the government hospital for treatment.
