KIMSHEALTH Neonatology Department achieves Level 3B NNFI Accreditation

Thiruvananthapuram: The Department of Neonatology at KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum has achieved re-accreditation as level III B, the highest ranking in the country, by the National Neonatology Forum of India (NNFI). 

The revised standards of NNFI include evaluation of infrastructure, trained manpower, and processes ensuring patient (mother and baby) safety, along with quality care processes.

Under the leadership of Dr Naveen Jain, Senior Consultant, the department has 6 highly qualified consultants and over 10 specialists. Additionally, the center has received accreditation from the National Board of Education and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics.

Equipped to safely care for newborns as young as 24 weeks and weighing as little as 500 grams, the Neonatology Unit at KIMSHEALTH is a beacon of excellence. Moreover, the high-risk newborn follow-up module developed by the hospital has been adopted by over 100 units across the country.  

The Neonatal & Paediatric Departments at the hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including pediatric cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, nephrology, allergy and asthma, development services, intensive care, and emergency services.
