New Medical College Hospital to be set up in Jehanabad: CM Nitish Kumar
Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday announced to set up a new Medical College and Hospital in Jehanabad district. The new facility is set to enhance healthcare services for the local population.
Kumar during his "Pragati Yatra " in Jehanabad, said that the state government had decided to establish a new Medical College and Hospital in this district which would help in providing better treatment facilities to people of the region.
According to a UNI report, a team had been constituted to identify the land for the proposed Medical College and Hospital in Jehanabad district, he added.
The Chief Minister said that new buildings for Block and Circle office would be constructed in Makhdumpur, Kako and Ghosi blocks of the district. A sports complex would also be constructed to promote sports activities, Kumar said.

Nitish said that all required facilities would be made available to pilgrims coming to Barabar Hills during the auspicious Shravan month. Proper road connectivity, guest houses, uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water and other facilities would be made available for the pilgrims visiting the area, he added.
"A ROB would be constructed near Arwal Chowk, Raja Bazar to ease the pressure of heavy traffic congestion ", the Chief Minister said, adding that other important works left out, would also be completed to cater the needs of people.
In Arwal district, an auditorium would be constructed so that district administration could feel easy in organising big event, he stated, reports UNI.
Kumar said that an industrial area would be developed in Arwal district to promote industrial activities. It would also help in creating employment opportunities for youths, he said.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a 500-bed hospital building at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), increasing the institute’s total capacity to 1,700 beds. He said that all modern medical facilities would be available at the IGIMS.
