Patna: Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) has come under scrutiny after a 20-year-old woman alleged that a staff member molested her during an electrocardiogram (ECG) procedure, while her family claims that hospital security personnel mistreated them when they intervened.
According to the news reports, the incident occurred on Friday night when the woman, a resident of Salimpur Ahara, visited the emergency ward of PMCH with breathing difficulties. Doctors advised her to undergo an electrocardiogram (ECG), during which she alleges that a staff member inappropriately touched her under the pretence of performing the examination. Disturbed by the repeated unwanted actions, she raised an alarm.
