Rainbow Children's Hospital opens 55-bedded super specialty hospital in Chennai
This new hospital building is the second unit in Tamil Nadu after the first one is located in Anna Salai. The facility has an 11-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a 4-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with three emergency beds and well-equipped operation theatres.
Chennai: With an aim to provide quality care to the people of Chennai, Rainbow Children's Hospital and BirthRight by Rainbow recently launched a new 55-bedded super specialty hospital at Sholinganallur Junction, OMR, Chennai.
The Rainbow group is considered to be the largest group of pediatric hospitals in India. The newly launched hospital will cater to child and women's care in the city's Sholinganallur area.

The new hospital has inpatient specialties for child care, including Neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Hematology and Oncology, Pediatric Surgery, Cardiology, and Nutrition.
Speaking on occasion, Chairman and Managing Director of Rainbow Group of Hospitals, Dr. Ramesh kancharla, told The News Minute, "For us at Rainbow, our greatest measure of success is the smiling faces of our patients."
Dr. Swati Kapadia, Senior Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynaecology, said, "The Sholinganallur branch will provide services like neonatal and children's transport services, and a host of super specialty services including pediatric pulmonology, allergy, neurology, nephrology, surgery and more."
The Neonatal children's transport service has comprehensive and dedicated children's transport service, a 24/7 dedicated phone line for referrals and medical advice, and a Skilled medical and nursing team to stabilize and transport.
The Department of Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergy provides multidisciplinary inpatient and outpatient services for infants and children with acute and chronic respiratory problems and allergic disorders.
