Rajasthan Government to Launch Hemodialysis services at 182 centres
Jaipur: In a move to improve healthcare access for patients in remote areas, the state health department is set to launch hemodialysis services at 182 centers, including 11 district hospitals and 102 community health centers, within the next month.
This initiative aims to bring much-needed relief to kidney failure patients who previously had to travel long distances for regular dialysis.
The state health department's new expansion plan includes district hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals, community health centres, and satellite hospitals to enhance healthcare facilities across the region. This initiative will bring relief to kidney patients in rural areas by eliminating the need for them to travel long distances for their regular treatments.
As per the recent media report by TOI, a senior officer said, "The facility will be made available at 15 district hospitals, 57 sub-divisional hospitals, 102 community health centres, and at eight satellite hospitals in the state. People of many districts were to travel to different districts from remote villages for the hemodialysis process. It will also de-congest the district hospitals when the facility is made available at the community health centers in the villages as well."
The principal secretary of the medical and health department Gayetri Rathore has announced that the hemodialysis facility would be started in a phased manner. The facility will be launched in medical institutions with 50 or more beds during the first phase.
