A hospital official said that the rude tone of the caller revealed that the call was not real. The call has come days after one of the six canteens of the college was shut due to students' complaints regarding food quality, reports the Indian Express

The CM's office informed that they have no employee with the name Aniket Nikam.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that with an aim to extend affordable healthcare to cancer patients in the city, a PET-CT scan facility had been introduced by the BJ Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital. This facility is considered to be the first in the state to be established at a government hospital. PET-CT scan is a procedure that combines the pictures from a positron emission tomography (PET) scan and a computed tomography (CT) scan. The PET and CT scans are done at the same time with the same machine. The combined scans give more detailed pictures of areas inside the body than either scan gives by itself.
