Tamil Nadu: GEM Hospital gets exclusive Women's ward

Chennai: Making medical facilities available to women and constantly thriving to improve their health, GEM Hospital recently launched the Department of Obstetrics & Exclusive Women's Ward.

Inaugurating the department, Renowned Tamil orator, public speaker, and host Bharathi Baskar congratulated Dr. C Palanivelu, founder and chairman and the hospital for the amazing initiative towards women.

GEM Hospital was initially started as Coimbatore Institute of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgery (CIGES) in the year 1991 by its founder Dr.C.Palanivelu. Over the next 10 years, the institute grew in stature to become the sought-after destination for laparoscopic surgery and gastroenterology. Dr.Palanivelu established Asia's first exclusive gastroenterology and advanced laparoscopic surgery centre named GEM Hospital in 2001.
