Telangana to get dedicated PG Medical Center with 50 PG medical Seats in Husnabad
Damodar Rajanarasimha
Siddipet: Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha on Friday announced the establishment of a Postgraduate (PG) Medical Centre in Husnabad. The new centre will offer 50 PG medical seats and is slated to begin admissions from the next academic year.
The announcement was made during the Minister’s visit to Husnabad, where he inaugurated a 100-bed Mother and Child Hospital and laid the foundation stone for a 150-bed general hospital, creating a combined 250-bed capacity in the town. He was joined by fellow ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Tummala Nageswara Rao, and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, underscoring the significance of the development.
Once home to a modest 50-bed healthcare facility, Husnabad is now on the path to becoming a regional healthcare hub, with a full-fledged multi-speciality hospital. This infrastructure, he noted, meets the requirements for hosting a PG medical education facility.

Pointing out that Siddipet, Jagtial, and Karimnagar already had medical colleges, Rajanarasimha said the government had decided to grant the PG Centre to Husnabad to ensure balanced development in the region, reports Telangana Today.
