UP: Tantrik performs rituals on Scorpion sting patients inside Govt Hospital
Lucknow: A video, which went viral on social media, showed that instead of allowing a doctor to treat the patients, a Tantrik performed rituals on two patients brought by their attendants at Mahoba district hospital in Uttar Pradesh.
The tantrik performed rituals on two woman patients who were admitted to the hospital's emergency ward after there was no improvement in their condition.
The family members alleged that the doctors were unable to cure the patients and their condition was deteriorating. In order to save them, they had brought the Tantrik to perform rituals to heal them.

After being bitten by a scorpion a few days ago, the patients were admitted to the hospital. However, Scorpion stings are painful but rarely life-threatening.
Performing rituals in the emergency ward in front of all the patients and staff can disturb the environment of the hospital. Meanwhile, no action was taken by the hospital staff or the authorities to prevent the rituals at the hospital. A hospital that is supposed to treat patients had become a place where tantriks conducted their business.
Moreover, this was not the first time that such an incident happened at the hospital. When asked about the accuracy of the ritual, one of the tantriks named Santosh Pujari told DH that he had treated two patients in the hospital and claimed that their condition improved after the rituals. He also said that the attendants of the patients often seek their services.
Although the tantriks had performed rituals more than once at the hospital, the doctors had no idea about their presence. "Action will be taken against the staff if the video is confirmed" said district officials.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about a similar incident from Madhya Pradesh in which a video went viral showing a Tantrik performing ritual on a woman in a government hospital in Madhya Pradesh's Ashok Nagar district to rid her of 'evil spirit'.
