Vinayaka Missions Superspeciality Hospital opens in Puducherry
Puducherry: In a landmark moment for comprehensive healthcare services in the region, Vinayaka Missions Superspeciality Hospital (VMSH) was recently formally inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Puducherry, Shri N Rangasamy.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished dignitaries including, Shri A. Namassivayam (Hon’ble Home Minister of Puducherry), Shri K. Lakshminarayanan (Hon’ble Public Works Department, Minister of Puducherry), Shri Embalam R. Selvam (Hon’ble Speaker of Puducherry Legislative Assembly), Shri P. Rajavelu (Hon’ble Deputy Speaker), Shri U. Lakshmikandhan (Hon’ble MLA, Kirumampakkam Constituency) and Shri R Senthilkumar (Hon’ble MLA, Bahour Constituency).

Presiding over the momentous occasion was Dr. A.S. Ganesan, Hon’ble Chancellor of Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (VMRF), whose vision has been the driving force behind this state-of-the-art healthcare facility. Also in attendance were Dr. Anuradha Ganesan, Vice President – VMRF; Mr. Suresh Samuel, Chief Strategy Officer – VMRF; Dr. Hari Menon, Medical Director – VMSH and key leadership from Aarupadai Veedu Medical College & Hospital (AVMCH), including Dr. K. Damodharan, Dean In-Charge; Dr. Vishnu Bhatt, Former Director, JIPMER; Dr. Sarman Singh, Former Director, AIIMS Bhopal; Dr. Rajan, Vice Dean Administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A.S. Ganesan, remarked, "VMSH brings to Puducherry, technology-driven healthcare services with high quality care and affordable cost for people both within and beyond our borders built around the ethos – “Your Health; Our Mission.”
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art emergency care and trauma services, advanced critical care units, cutting-edge diagnostic services, modern operation theatres including a high-end transplant OT, and a wide array of super-specialty departments.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that Dr Vir Singh Negi has been appointed the new Director of the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry.
