The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is expected to make a decision to buy a stake in a health insurance company by the March end, according to its Chief Executive.
LIC is exploring opportunities in the health insurance space but is not looking for a majority stake in the prospective deal.
"I am very much hopeful that within this financial year, before 31st March, some decision can be taken,” Siddhartha Mohanty, the chief executive officer of India's largest insurer, said.
