NBE organises CPR Awareness Programme on 6th December Across India, all details here
Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the conduction of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Awareness Programme being organised by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
According to the notice, the program is being organized on 6th December 2023 at 09:30 AM across the country to spread awareness and impart training to thousands of youths and non-medical personnel to administer CPR in a proper manner.
The programme will comprise a short video explaining to the participants the benefits of CPR and the methodology to administer it. A doctor will be deputed at each venue to answer the queries of the participants. Digital certificates of participation shall be issued to all participants by NBEMS.
NBE has requested the Medical colleges to participate in the NBEMS CPR Awareness Programme and use their auditorium/lecture hall to display the CPR video with good audio support. The web page to access the video and further details shall be shared by NBEMS in due course.
Confirmation of participation may be informed to NBEMS at email id: nbefaculty@natboard.edu.in along with the contact details of the nodal person who will coordinate with NBEMS. A Google form needs to be filled out by the medical colleges providing the contact details of the nodal person. Also, a list of at least 2-3 doctors from each medical college needs to be provided to NBMES who will volunteer their services for this programme at other venues of the CPR Awareness Programme in the same city. Medical Colleges shall upload at least 3-4 photographs of organizing the CPR Awareness programme on a link, which will be provided in due course by NBEMS.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has been constituted by an act of Parliament known as the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, which came into force on 25.9.2020 by gazette notification dated 24.9.2020. The Board of Governors, in supersession of the Medical Council of India, constituted under section 3A of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, stands dissolved thereafter.
