NBE notifies grievance redressal mechanism for trainees, institutes- 2 levels, decisions to be binding
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a notice regarding the grievance Redressal Mechanism for NBEMS Trainees and Institutions.
The notice has been issued for all NBEMS-accredited institutes and ongoing trainees.
The grievance redressal mechanism is intended to provide a fair, transparent, and time-bound process for the consideration and resolution of grievances, in accordance with the applicable NBEMS guidelines and procedures.
According to the notice, the NBEMS, vide its earlier notice, has notified a Grievance Redressal Mechanism for NBEMS trainees and NBEMS Accredited Training Institutions to address grievances relating to training, academic matters, stipend, leave, thesis, examinations, and other issues arising during the training period.
Therefore, all NBEMS Accredited Training Institutions are advised to ensure a fair, transparent, and supportive training environment for NBEMS trainees and to address their genuine grievances promptly through the prescribed grievance redressal mechanism.
Grievances shall, in the first instance, be taken up by the Grievance Redressal Committee of the concerned training institution (Level- 1 GRC). The Committee shall consider such grievances fairly, maintain appropriate confidentiality, and follow the applicable institutional policies and procedures.
Trainees and institutions are advised to cooperate with the Committee and furnish accurate information and relevant supporting documents for the proper examination of the matter.
Where a trainee or an institution is aggrieved by the decision of the Grievance Redressal Committee of the concerned training institution, the matter may be escalated to the NBEMS Grievance Redressal Committee (Level – 2 GRC), in accordance with the prescribed procedure and applicable NBEMS guidelines.
The decision of the NBEMS Grievance Redressal Committee shall be binding on both parties. Failure to comply with such a decision may invite appropriate action against the defaulting party, as permissible under the applicable rules, regulations, guidelines, and the jurisdiction of NBEMS.
Hence, all concerned trainees and NBEMS Accredited Training Institutions are advised to take note of the above and adhere to the prescribed grievance redressal mechanism.
