Laurus Labs Invests Rs 107.8 Crore in KRKA Pharma Through Rights Issue
Hyderabad: Laurus Labs Limited has invested Rs 107.8 crore in KRKA Pharma Private Limited through a rights issue, acquiring 10.78 crore equity shares at a face value of Rs 10 each. Following the investment, the company's total holding in KRKA Pharma has increased to 26.215 crore equity shares, while its shareholding percentage will remain unchanged at 49%.
According to the company, the investment amounts to Rs 1,078,000,000 (Rs 107.8 crore). Through the rights issue, Laurus Labs acquired 107,800,000 equity shares of KRKA Pharma Private Limited, each having a face value of Rs 10. The aggregate amount invested in the shares was Rs 1,078,000,000.
The investment follows an earlier intimation issued by Laurus Labs on April 30, 2026, regarding further investment in KRKA Pharma Private Limited. The latest communication provides an update on the completion of the investment and the resulting equity shareholding.
KRKA Pharma Private Limited is a joint venture between KRKA d.d., Novo mesto, Slovenia, and Laurus Labs Limited. Despite the additional investment, Laurus Labs' ownership percentage in the joint venture will continue to remain at 49%. The company's total holding following the transaction stands at 262,150,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each.
