Manipal: Blackfrog Technologies opens new medical device plant
Dr Ranjan Pai, Chairman, Manipal Education & Medical Group said that setting up a 1,500 unit per month capacity medical device manufacturing facility within six years after graduation by a startup co-founded by two engineers is commendable.

Manipal: Start-up Blackfrog Technologies on Tuesday said it has opened its medical device manufacturing facility in the city. The plant was inaugurated by Dr Ranjan Pai, Chairman, Manipal Education & Medical Group (MEMG).
Blackfrog Technologies has developed Emvólio, a patented rapid cooling technology for last-mile transport of vaccines, breast milk, blood serums, medications, and specimens with minimal freeze-thaw cycles. It has been deploying its vaccine transport systems across India in coordination with National Health Mission at the state level.
