47000 capsules of Sarten DSR seized from Pharma company in HP

Shimla: A pharma firm in Himachal Pradesh has been under the scanner after an input regarding some notorious activities were reported to Himachal Pradesh Drug Regulatory Authority.
Drugs Inspectors were regularly monitoring activities of the firm for last fifteen days, state Drug Regulatory Authority said in a statement.
A press release issued here by the Regulatory authority said that on September 1, Drugs Inspector Harish Kumar on suspicion followed on vehicle from M/s Arya Pharma, Village Dharmpur, Sai Road Baddi, District Solan, HP and apprehended same at Barotiwala. Case of manufacturing for sale of spurious drugs, manufacturing drugs without licence etc has been registered under section 18(C), section 18(a) (i) read with 17B , 18(a) (vi) etc against offenders under Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
On searching the said vehicle, it was found that the Driver of the said vehicle named Vikrant was carrying approx 47000 Capsules of Drugs Sarten DSR (Entric Coated Rabeprazole & Domperidone) manufactured by M/s Park Pharmaceuticals, Village Kalujhanda, Nanakpur, Baddi, District Solan, HP.
Since it was not possible to seize the machinery and equipment used for manufacturing the spurious drugs, the premises were sealed in the presence of workers and witnesses.
Subsequently, two teams were constituted for further probe.
The first team also seized approx 47000 capsules of Sarten DSR along with a vehicle. Further investigation is being carried out and Court is being informed in this regard and Custody Orders will be taken immediately for seized drugs and vehicle etc, the statement added.
