Akums Drugs & Pharma appoints Tarun Kapoor as CIO

Tarun Kapoor has been named as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Vice President - IT at Akums Drugs & Pharma and its group companies to head its IT function.

In his new role, he is responsible for leading Akums Pharma Group's Technology strategy, driving digital transformation with data and AI vision, and ensuring efficient & secured IT operations with its roadmap. He also focus on aligning IT with business goals and vision, managing risk, fostering innovation, strengthening cyber security and modernizing IT Infra, spearheading IT-OT, optimizing cost, sweating existing assets, strengthening governance, minimizing business risks, and enhancing business digital experience.

Kapoor shared the news via a LinkedIn post, stating, "I am glad to share that I have taken up CIO role at Akums Pharma and its group companies to head its IT function and am designated as Senior Vice President - IT."
Kapoor also expressed gratitude for his previous tenure at Mankind Pharma, thanking its leadership, including Arjun Juneja, Pramod Gokhale, Prateek Dubey, and Rajeev Juneja, for their support and mentorship.

"Mankind Pharma is a great place to work that provides immense learning and growth opportunities to individuals," he noted.
Looking ahead, Kapoor added, "I look forward to new challenges and assignments while working with a capable team and partners to innovate further and be a catalyst in taking Akums Pharma group to its next journey of growth and success."

Prior to joining Akums, Tarun served as Vice President - Digital Transformation at Mankind Pharma. His earlier roles include positions at BT Group, VFS Global Services Pvt Ltd - India, CRISIL Limited, Infoton Systems and Services Private Limited, Indigo Systems & Technologies (I) Private Limited, and Tycoon Technologies.
