New Delhi: Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals has introduced dual-action heartburn relief chewable tablet, combining Famotidine, Calcium Carbonate, and Magnesium Hydroxide.
According to the Company, the product provides both rapid and long-lasting relief for individuals suffering from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and related symptoms. This formulation is to pair an antacid, which offers immediate neutralization of stomach acid, with Famotidine, a Histamine H2-receptor antagonist that reduces acid production for extended relief.
Sanjeev Jain, MD of Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals said, "Heartburn is a widespread issue that affects millions. At Akums, we are dedicated to developing effective solutions for health concerns. Our dual-action chewable tablet is an innovative solution, providing fast, safe, and long-lasting heartburn relief."
Heartburn occurs when gastric acid refluxes into the esophagus, causing discomfort and a burning sensation in the chest.
