New Delhi: Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Alembic Pharmaceuticals GmbH, in Germany with an initial share capital of EUR 25,000, as part of its strategy to explore new business opportunities in the European market and strengthen its global footprint in pharmaceutical sales and distribution.

The newly incorporated entity has a share capital of EUR 25,000 divided into 25,000 shares of EUR 1 each and is yet to commence business operations, with no turnover reported at present.

Alembic Pharmaceuticals GmbH will operate in the pharmaceutical sector and is intended to promote, sell, and distribute the company’s pharmaceutical products in the European geography, thereby expanding Alembic’s international presence.

The company clarified that this incorporation does not fall under related party transactions and no promoter or group company has any separate interest in the entity, as it is a wholly owned subsidiary.

No specific governmental or regulatory approvals are required for this incorporation, and the timeline for completion is not applicable since the entity has already been formed.

The investment has been made through subscription to the share capital of the subsidiary, with Alembic holding 100% ownership and control in Alembic Pharmaceuticals GmbH. As the entity is newly incorporated, there is no operational history, turnover, or prior business activity associated with it.
