Alembic Pharma Sets Up New Subsidiary in Thailand to Expand Global Presence
New Delhi: Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited has incorporated a new subsidiary, Alembic Pharmaceuticals (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in Thailand as part of its strategy to explore business opportunities and expand its presence in the region.
The company disclosed the development to stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
According to the disclosure, the newly incorporated entity has a share capital of Baht 3,000,000, divided into 300,000 shares of Baht 10 each. The subsidiary has not yet commenced business operations and currently has no turnover. Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited will hold 99.99% shareholding in the newly incorporated company.
The company stated that the new subsidiary will operate in the pharmaceuticals sector and will focus on promoting, selling and distributing pharmaceutical products of Alembic in Thailand. The incorporation is intended to help the company explore new business opportunities in the region and strengthen its international presence.
Alembic clarified that the transaction does not fall under related party transactions and that no governmental or regulatory approvals are required for the incorporation. Since the entity is newly incorporated, details such as past turnover or operational history are not applicable.
