AP pharma factory fire: NHRC directs authorities to conduct probe

New Delhi: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken suo motu cognisance of an explosion that took place at the a private industrial unit in Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalli district. The explosion claimed the life of at least 17 workers and injured several others.
Authorities have been directed to conduct a thorough investigation. The incident could have been worse, but fewer workers were present as it happened during lunchtime. The death toll may rise as search operations continue.
