Aurobindo Pharma reports minor fire incident at Andhra Pradesh unit

Hyderabad: Aurobindo Pharma Limited has reported a minor fire at Granulation Area-10 of Unit IV of APL Healthcare Limited, a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Company, situated at Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh (SEZ Unit).

The company informed the stock exchanges that the incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. on September 18, 2025, due to short circuit. The fire spread to a panel, affecting Granulation Area-10 and causing partial damage to Granulation Area-8. Out of the total 19 lines in the said Unit, 2 lines have been impacted for about two weeks.

Aurobindo clarified that no casualties or injuries were reported. The incident resulted in a temporary production impact estimated at ~3% of the monthly capacity of the said Unit.
The incident was immediately controlled through prompt action of our in-house fire hydrant team along with support from external fire tenders.
Refurbishment and restoration work has already begun, and the company expects the impacted areas to to be operational within the next few weeks.
Aurobindo emphasized that the Company has taken all appropriate measures to ensure the safety of employees, protection of assets, and continuity of operations and the event has no material financial or operational impact.
