Biocon appoints Ekta Agarwal as Interim Company Secretary, Compliance Officer
Bangalore: Biocon has announced the appointment of Ekta Agarwal as the Interim Company Secretary and Compliance Officer (being Key Managerial Personnel) of the Company, till the time the new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer is appointed by the Board.
"We would like to inform you that based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors at its meeting held today i.e. on July 09, 2025, has approved the appointment of Ekta Agarwal (ICSI Membership No.: FCS 11388), as the Interim Company Secretary and Compliance Officer (being Key Managerial Personnel) of the Company w.e.f. July 10, 2025 pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 6 of SEBI Listing Regulations and Section 203 of the Companies Act, 2013," Biocon stated in a BSE filing.

She brings over 11 years of extensive experience working with reputed companies in India. A versatile professional, Ekta Agarwal has in-depth expertise in overseeing all facets of corporate secretarial functions, ensuring consistent compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Recently, Biocon Biologics, a subsidiary of Biocon Ltd., has received marketing authorisations from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the United Kingdom (UK) for Vevzuo and Evfraxy, biosimilars of Denosumab.
