Biocon to raise up to Rs 600 crore

BangaloreIn a recent BSE filing, Biocon has said that its Board of Directors has approved to raise up to Rs 600 crore in one or more tranches on a private placement basis.

"we wish to inform you that the Board of Directors at its meeting held on Friday, April 04, 2025, has approved issuance of Commercial Papers up to an amount not exceeding Rs. 600 Crores in one or more tranches on private placement basis," Biocon stated.

The company did not disclose specific reasons for the capital raise.

Biocon Biologics Limited, a subsidiary of Biocon Limited, is a unique, fully integrated, global biosimilars company. The Company has commercialized eight biosimilars in key emerging markets and advanced markets like U.S., Europe, Australia, Canada, and Japan. It has a pipeline of 20 biosimilar assets across diabetology, oncology, immunology, ophthalmology, and other non-communicable diseases.
