CDSCO Cancels Registration Certificate of G3 Medical Systems for Import of Allergan Cosmetics

New Delhi: The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has confirmed the cancellation of Registration Certificate (RC) No. RC/COS-002850, previously issued to G3 Medical Systems Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, for the import of cosmetics manufactured by Allergan Sales LLC, USA.

According to CDSCO, the company had applied through the SUGAM portal (application no. COS/PostAppr/2025/38350 dated May 21, 2025) seeking voluntary surrender of the registration. Acting on the request, the regulatory authority has officially cancelled the RC with immediate effect.

The notice read,

"Please refer to your application number COS/PostAppr/2025/38350 dated 2'1- May-2025 received on SUGAM Portal for surrender of subject RC by you. As per your request, Registration Certificate No. RC/COS-002850 dated 14-Dec-2021 valid up to 13-Dec-2026 issued to you for the purpose of import of cosmetics manufactured by M/s Allergan Sales LLC, 2525 Dupont Drive,lrvine,CA 92612 - (United States) shall be treated as cancelled with immediate effect."

The certificate, originally granted on December 14, 2021, was valid until December 13, 2026. With this cancellation, G3 Medical Systems will no longer be authorized to import the said cosmetics into India.

As part of the regulatory process, CDSCO has also circulated the order to all Zonal, Sub-Zonal, and Port Offices to ensure compliance and prevent import of the products under the surrendered registration.
