Cybersecurity incident at Alkem Labs US arm, investigation underway
Mumbai: Alkem Labs has announced that its subsidiary Enzene Biosciences Limited has detected a cyber security incident on its US subsidiary.
According to a filing with BSE, business email IDs of certain employees at the U.S. subsidiary were compromised in the breach, resulting in a fraudulent transfer of funds.
The quantum of funds that have been subject to this cyber security incident is currently under investigation.
In response, Enzene has employed independent external agencies to investigate the incident. The independent external agencies shall conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and submit their report to the Board of Directors of Enzene and the Company (the “Report”).
Further, the Company is taking all necessary steps and in the process of filing necessary complaints with concerned governmental and regulatory authorities in this matter.
