Glenmark Launches Generic Sugammadex Injection in US, Targets USD 1.6 Billion Market

New Delhi: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, a subsidiary of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, has announced the launch of Sugammadex Injection in the United States following approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).

The company has launched Sugammadex Injection 200 mg/2 mL (100 mg/mL) and 500 mg/5 mL (100 mg/mL) in single-dose vials. The product is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug BRIDION (Sugammadex) Injection, 100 mg/mL, marketed by Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC.

According to IQVIA National Sales Perspectives data for the 12-month period ending May 2026, the BRIDION Injection market, including the brand and all available therapeutic equivalents, recorded annual sales of approximately USD 1.6 billion in the United States.

The company noted that its Sugammadex Injection is approved only for the indications included in Glenmark's USFDA-approved labeling and will be marketed accordingly.
