GSK Pharma: Chinmay Sharma appointed HRBL, Performance Emerging Markets based out of London; Harsh V Trehan named India HR Head

MumbaiGlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited has announced the appointment of Chinmay Sharma, Executive Vice President - Human Resources,     as HRBL, Performance Emerging Markets effective 1st July 2025 based out of London.

Following this appointment, he will cease to be the Senior Management Personnel of the Company effective closing of business hours of 30th June 2025.

Chinmay has been associated with GSK Pharma since 2020. Prior to joining GSK, he held leadership roles at Philip Morris International and Procter & Gamble.

In line with this transition, Harsh V. Trehan, currently People Services Lead for GSK’s Global Capability Centre in Bangalore, India, has been appointed as Country HR Head, India effective 1st July 2025 and would be part of senior Management Personnel of the Company effective the said date.

As a seasoned senior HR professional, Harsh possesses diverse HR leadership experiences in different industries such as FMCG, Petroleum, Aerospace and Services with more than 25 years of experiences in the HR practice. Harsh joined GSK in March 2021 as People Services Lead GCC, and played a key role as a member of Global People Services Leadership Team and GCC LT establishing the GCC PS team, and working with PSLT to deliver services globally with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness and experience. His leadership was instrumental in delivering a high performing people services team in GCC, with key specialty teams of C&B Services, Global Learning & Development Operations, Global Mobility, Global Data Management and Reporting, and India Tier 1 HR services. 
Prior to GSK, he was Chief People Officer at Compass Group. His earlier career also includes roles at BAE Systems, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
