Health Ministry Invites Applications for Senior Roles in CDSCO
New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has invited applications to fill 14 senior-level positions in the Medical Devices Vertical of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). The vacancies include 1 post of Additional Drugs Controller, 4 posts of Joint Drugs Controller, and 9 posts of Deputy Drugs Controller.
These positions, classified under Group A, are offered on deputation or short-term contract basis to strengthen CDSCO's regulatory oversight in the medical devices sector.
The positions advertised by CDSCO fall under different pay levels as defined by the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The Additional Drugs Controller role is offered at Pay Level 13A, with a salary ranging from Rs 1,31,100 to Rs 2,16,600 per month. The Joint Drugs Controller position is at Pay Level 13, providing a salary between Rs1,23,100 and Rs 2,15,900 per month. Meanwhile, the Deputy Drugs Controller role is listed at Pay Level 12, with a pay scale of Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200 per month. These pay scales include basic pay and allowances, ensuring competitive remuneration for selected candidates.
Eligible candidates from central or state government, public sector undertakings, recognized universities, or statutory organizations can apply. Educational qualifications range from a master’s degree in biomedical, chemical, or other relevant engineering and life sciences fields to significant professional experience in medical device manufacturing, testing, regulation, or design.
Applications, along with necessary documents, must be sent to the Deputy Director (Admin), CDSCO HQ, FDA Bhawan, New Delhi, within 60 days from the advertisement date.
"The pay and other terms and conditions of deputation (including short-term-contract) will be regulated in accordance with DOPT’s O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010 as amended from time to time. Cadre authorities/Heads of Department are requested to forward applications of eligible and willing candidates whose services can be spared for appointment to the said post on deputation (including short-termcontract) basis so as to reach Shri Pawan Kumar, Deputy Director (Admn), Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation HQ, FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi-110002 within 60 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News," the advertisement read.

1. Application in prescribed format – Annexure II duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned with seal by the Cadre/Appointing authority.
2. Attested copes of APAR/ACRs for the last 5 (five) years duly attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.
3. Integrity Certificate
4. Vigilance Clearance Certificate
5. Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years of service.
6. A certificate to the effect that the particulars furnished by the candidate have been verified and found correct as per service records.
7. Cadre Clearance Certificate.
