Indian Immunologicals donates Oxygen Generation Plant worth Rs 1 crore to TIMS

HyderabadVaccine maker Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) has donated a PSA Oxygen Generation Plant to a dedicated Covid-19 hospital, Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS).

IIL had facilitated the setup of an Oxygen Generation Plant at TIMS and this Oxygen plant works on the principle of Pressure Swing Adsorption and enables efficient distribution of Oxygen for the needy patients, Hyderabad based IIL said in release here on Monday.

The plant is capable of supplying Oxygen to 70 patients at a time.
IIL had taken up this initiative as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and executed it through Sambhav Foundation, an initiative of LabourNet, a Bangalore based Social Enterprise.
"The cost of the plant is Rs. 1 Crore," reports UNI.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vimala Thomas, Director, TIMS, had thanked IIL for this timely support. Dr Vimala Thomas had mentioned that with this installation, TIMS is significantly equipped to treat the patients in need of Oxygen support, specifically those suffering from COVID related complications.
Dr. K Anand Kumar, Managing Director, IIL thanked TIMS for providing an opportunity to serve the people in need.
He also thanked the medical fraternity and the staff at TIMS for their tireless efforts in treating COVID patients.
Dr. Priyabrata Pattnaik, Deputy Managing Director, IIL, also participated in the event.
