Intas Pharmaceuticals names new leaders in Gene Therapy, IT, Quality Control, learning and development
Intas Pharmaceuticals has announced a series of leadership appointments across several core areas, including gene therapy, information technology, quality control, and learning and development. The company shared details of the new appointments through LinkedIn updates.
Dr T M Chozhavel Rajanathan has been appointed as Deputy General Manager – Gene Therapy. He brings over 19 years of experience spanning bio-analytical development, molecular biology, process optimization, biochemistry, biophysical characterization, and cell-based assays.
Intas expressed confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to its biosimilars mission, stating, "We are confident that his deep domain insights will further strengthen our efforts toward realising our mission of “Biosimilars for Billions.”

In the digital domain, Pravin Mahajan has joined the company as Associate Vice President – Information Technology. Mahajan has over 23 years of experience, and has led SAP-enabled digital transformations across diverse industries.
"His deep expertise in full lifecycle implementations and support for the FI/CO module on the S/4 HANA platform will play a key role in accelerating our ambitious digital journey," the Company said on Pravin appointment.

Sharad Bedade has been named Deputy General Manager – Quality Control at the Company.
"Thrilled to join Intas in its pursuit of excellence, excited to drive impactful quality outcomes with innovation, precision, and purpose," Sharad said.
Additionally, the company has appointed Sushil Barkur as Associate Vice President – Learning & Development.
With over 24 years of experience in Learning & Development, Organisation Development interventions, and Talent Management, Sushil brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight.
The Company shared, "His expertise will be instrumental in nurturing a stronger learning culture across our Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, and Corporate teams. Sushil’s deep understanding of psychometric assessments will also play a key role in shaping impactful training programs—empowering our people to grow, lead, and innovate."
