Kailera's Oral Weight Loss Pill Delivers Up to 11.1% Weight Reduction in China Study

Bengaluru: Kailera Therapeutics said on Tuesday its oral obesity and diabetes drug met the main goal of two late-stage trials conducted in China.
The studies were conducted by its China-based partner Hengrui Pharma.
In the obesity trial, the drug, HRS-7535, achieved a mean weight loss of up to 10.9% at week 44 and a mean weight loss of up to 11.1% at week 50.
Kailera is also advancing the drug in a global mid-stage clinical trial in people living with obesity or overweight. The trial was initiated in April 2026, with data expected in 2027.
