Maharashtra CET Cell Releases First CAP Allotment List for B.Pharmacy, Pharm.D Admissions

Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released the first Centralized Admission Process (CAP) allotment list for first-year B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D admissions for the academic year 2026-27, providing admission opportunities to 28,139 students across 528 pharmacy colleges in the state.

A total of 46,984 seats are available across the participating colleges, while 44,329 students registered for admission and 35,988 candidates submitted their college preferences within the prescribed period and were considered for the first CAP round.

Among the students considered in the first round, 14,736 candidates have been allotted their first-choice college. These candidates have been placed under the ‘Auto-freeze’ category, making acceptance of the allotted seat mandatory. Students who have been allotted their first-choice college but choose not to accept the seat will not be eligible to participate in the second, third or fourth CAP rounds. Instead, they will have to participate directly in the subsequent open round, identified as the institutional round.

The first-round allotment has therefore provided admission opportunities to 28,139 students from the pool of 35,988 candidates who submitted their college preferences. Students who received an allotment in the first CAP round are required to physically report to their respective allotted colleges between September 28 and September 30, 2026 to complete the admission confirmation process.

During physical reporting, candidates are required to submit the prescribed documents and pay the applicable fees to confirm their allotted admission. Students are expected to complete all the required admission formalities within the specified reporting period and follow the instructions issued by the Maharashtra State CET Cell.

After completion of the first CAP round admission process, the tentative vacancy list for the second CAP round is scheduled to be announced on October 1, 2026. The Maharashtra State CET Cell communicated the details through its press release dated September 28, 2026, issued by the Public Relations Officer, CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

The key figures for the Maharashtra pharmacy admission process include 46,984 available seats, 528 pharmacy colleges, 44,329 registered students, 35,988 students who submitted preferences, 28,139 admission opportunities in the first CAP round and 14,736 first-choice college allotments.

The Times of India reported that 14,736 students secured their first-choice colleges in the first CAP list, while 28,139 candidates received admission opportunities across the participating B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D colleges in the state.

Students participating in the Maharashtra pharmacy admission process are required to follow the schedule, instructions and admission procedures issued by the Maharashtra State CET Cell for the upcoming CAP rounds and related formalities.
