Medical Reps seek recognition as highly skilled with minimum wage of Rs 26000

Kakinada: The Andhra Pradesh medical and sales Representatives union (APMSRU) at its 49th annual general body meeting held here on Sunday has resolved demanding the government to accord recognition to them as highly skilled and implement a minimum wage of Rs.26,000 and also implementation of the sales employees act effectively.

It also resolved demanding removal of the GST totally on the emergency medicines and allot more budget to medical and health sector. Union city unit president K. Apparao has chaired the function.

He wanted job security for the representatives and also formulate work rules. CITU city unit president Palivela Virababu has expressed his solidarity to the medical and sales representatives in their agitation for job safety and implementation of minimum wages.
Later when the state joint secretary C Venkatrao has moved the names of the new committee, the general body has elected it unanimously.
The new committee comprises of M A Swamy as president, ARC Varma as Secretary, K Ramakrishna as the treasurer, K Apparao and Deekshitulu as the vice presidents and Syam and Venkatesh as the joint secretaries.
