Natco Pharma partner Mylan settles patent litigation with Novo Nordisk over generic Ozempic in US

Hyderabad: NATCO Pharma Limited has announced that its partner Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Novo Nordisk have reached a settlement of the U.S. patent litigation related to generic Ozempic (Semaglutide), a drug used to lower blood sugar and weight loss.

NATCO and Mylan are partnered on the development of generic Ozempic products. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
NATCO’s manufacturing partner is Stelis.

Natco Pharma Limited was incorporated in Hyderabad in the year 1981 with an initial investment of INR 3.3 million. With a modest beginning of operations as a single unit with 20 employees, Natco today has eight manufacturing facilities spread across India with modern research laboratories, capabilities in New Drug Development, etc.
