Novartis India Gets New Name: Evonile Pharma Limited
Mumbai: Novartis India Limited has officially changed its name to Evonile Pharma Limited with effect from October 1, 2026, following approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India.
The name change was approved by the shareholders through a special resolution at the 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on September 24, 2026. Subsequently, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued a fresh Certificate of Incorporation on October 1, 2026, recording the change in the company’s name from Novartis India Limited to Evonile Pharma Limited.
Following the approval, Clause I (Name Clause) of the Memorandum of Association (MoA) has been amended to reflect the company’s new name. The Articles of Association (AoA) have also been amended wherever applicable to replace the name Novartis India Limited with Evonile Pharma Limited.
The Certificate of Incorporation issued by the MCA’s Central Processing Centre, Manesar, Haryana, confirms the change of name and states that the company continues to be a company limited by shares. The certificate also records that the company was originally incorporated under the name CIBA PHARMA PRIVATE LIMITED.
The MCA certificate further clarifies that the change in the company’s name does not affect the rights and liabilities of stakeholders that arose under the former name. The company is also required to comply with applicable provisions concerning the display of its former and new names.
The registered office of the company is located at Inspire BKC, 7th Floor, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai – 400051, Maharashtra.
The company stated that the regulatory disclosure and amended constitutional documents have been made available on its website. The communication was signed by Chandni Maru, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, bearing identification number A60291.
With the completion of the regulatory process, the company will henceforth operate under the name Evonile Pharma Limited, effective October 1, 2026.
