NPPA Adds Silica Healthcare IV Fluid Product Under Ceiling Price Framework
New Delhi: The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has issued an addendum to include a new product by Silica Healthcare Pvt Ltd under the ceiling price framework for scheduled formulation packs of IV fluids (non-glass with special features).
As per the Gazette notification dated April 30, 2026, issued by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the amendment relates to the earlier NPPA Order No 1583(E) dated March 25, 2026 concerning ceiling price fixation of IV fluid formulations.
The notification states that Serial Number 38 has now been added to Table ‘B’, listing Silica Healthcare Pvt Ltd as the manufacturer and “Euro Head / Euro Head Dual Port” as the product/brand name.
Further, a new clause (g1) has been inserted after clause (g), specifying that in the case of the said manufacturer listed at Serial Number 38, only the prices of formulations mentioned at Serial Numbers 2, 4, 5 and 7 of Table ‘A’ will be applicable.
The order was published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary), Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), under S.O. 2168(E), and forms part of regulatory measures to control prices of essential drug formulations in the country.
The addendum was issued by Bhiva Ram Yadav, Assistant Director, NPPA, and formally published by the Government of India Press, Mayapuri, New Delhi.
According to the official Gazette notification, the amendment ensures inclusion of additional eligible products under the existing pricing framework for IV fluids with special features.
