NPPA panel fixes retail price of spray containing Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol, Details
New Delhi: The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) panel has fixed the retail price of Spray containing Diclofenac Diethylamine IP 2.32%, Methyl Salicylate IP 10%, Menthol IP 5% manufactured by Pontika Aerotech and marketed by Intas Pharmaceuticals.
Methyl salicylate is a topical counter-irritant used for the symptomatic relief of acute musculoskeletal pain in the muscles, joints, and tendons. Menthol is an organic compound used to treat mild to moderate muscle and joint pain.
At a recent Multidisciplinary Committee of Experts meeting, the panel noted that the retail price of the subject formulation has been given to various companies and the companies have submitted the form-V data to NPPA.
