Pharma D automatically eligible for posts meant for Bpharma, D Pharma: PCI issues clarification

New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the Union Health Ministry has clarified that a person holding the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) qualification is also eligible for appointment to various posts where a person holding Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharma) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharma) or Master of Pharmacy (M Pharma) qualification is eligible to be appointed.
The notice reiterates the Gazette notification released by the government in this regard in 2019. The decision came based on the recommendations of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) constituted under Section 3 of Pharmacy Act, 1948 (8 of 1948).
