Pharma exports from India crosses USD 30 billion in FY25, US top market
New Delhi: India's pharmaceutical industry has recorded a major milestone, with exports surpassing $30 billion in the last financial year (FY25). The United States continued to be India’s key export destination, accounting for more than one-third of the country's pharma exports.
The pharmaceutical exports reached $30,467.32 million in FY25, marking a year-on-year increase of over 9% compared to $27,851.70 million in FY24, according to official trade data.
In the month of March, the pharma exports registered more than 30 per cent surge (year-on-year) to $3,681.51 million, from $2,805.71 million in the same month last fiscal, according to data.
The exports to the US (in value terms) increased 14.29 per cent at $8,953.37 million in FY25. Other countries on top of India's pharma exports were the UK, Brazil, France and South Africa last fiscal, reported IANS.
