Nalgonda: A devastating explosion tore through a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility late on Friday night at Brindavan Labs, situated on the outskirts of Ellagiri village in Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The powerful blast resulted in the complete destruction of the plant, leaving the premises entirely flattened.

Preliminary reports indicate that two large reactors inside the unit exploded with tremendous force, producing loud blasts that triggered an intense fire. The explosions caused extensive structural damage, ultimately reducing the entire facility to debris within minutes, the New India Express reported.

Six migrant workers were present inside the factory when the accident occurred. Upon hearing the initial explosion, they immediately fled the building, narrowly escaping what could have turned into a far more tragic incident. All six sustained minor injuries during the commotion and were promptly taken to Choutuppal Government Hospital for primary medical care.

Fire service personnel responded swiftly to the emergency and launched firefighting operations. After several hours of effort, they managed to contain and extinguish the blaze. The magnitude of the explosions was reportedly so intense that tremors were felt in neighboring villages, sparking fear among local residents.

Police authorities have filed a case and commenced a detailed inquiry to determine the precise cause of the reactor blasts and the subsequent fire. According to The New Indian Express, investigators are examining all possible factors, including technical malfunction or other potential reasons behind the incident.
