New Delhi: In an latest development in the ongoing probe into the manufacture and sale of counterfeit drugs, Delhi Police has busted a printing unit allegedly involved in supplying packaging material for spurious drugs and fake cosmetic products.
Two more accused have been arrested in the case, an official said.
Earlier, three accused — Shree Ram, Gaurav Bhagat and Pramod Kumar Gupta — had been arrested for their alleged role in the manufacture and sale of spurious medicines.
Last week, Medical Dialogues team reported the arrest of Pramod Kumar Gupta, alleged to be the mastermind of the racket, from Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station.
Gupta was accused of running an illegal manufacturing unit that produced spurious Betnovate-C ointment and fake cosmetic products, including Fair and Lovely and Veet creams.
Police also found that Gupta was involved in a 2006 case under the Copyright Act registered at the Sadar Bazar police station
