Sanofi India appoints Rachid Ayari as Interim MD

Mumbai: Sanofi India has appointed Rachid Ayari as its Interim Managing Director, while continuing in his current role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ayari will hold the dual role for a six-month term starting July 21, 2025, or until a permanent MD is named, whichever is earlier.

The appointment follows the cessation of Rodolfo Hrosz as the Managing Director of the Company on 30th April 2025.

"We wish to inform you that upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and subject to approval of the Shareholders, the Board of Directors have approved the appointment of Mr. Rachid Ayari (DIN: 10408699) as the Interim Managing Director of the Company, in addition to his current role as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company, for a term of 6 months from 21st July 2025 to 20th January 2026 or until a Permanent Managing Director is appointed, whichever is earlier," Sanofi India stated in a BSE filing.

With over 8 years of experience at Sanofi, following a 16-year tenure at Pfizer, Rachid Ayari bring a wealth of knowledge in major finance fields and a diverse international background, having worked across various countries as CFO from North Africa to Russia & Central Asia and finally India. His expertise extends to financial management, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

In addition to his appointment, the company has also named Aniket Raje as the Head of Regulatory Affairs, effective 1 st August 2025.
With over 21 years of experience in the technical departments in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Aniket Raje possesses vast experience in product registration and life-cycle management, internal and external stakeholder management and leadership roles. He was previously associated with Sanofi Healthcare India Private Limited, a Sanofi Group Company, as the Head RegulatoryVaccines And Rare Disease. He has completed his Masters (M.Sc.) in Biochemistry (Clinical) from G.S. Medical College and K.E.M Hospital (Mumbai University, India).
