Sanofi India Rodolfo Hrosz resigns as MD
Mumbai: Sanofi India has announced that Rodolfo Hrosz, Managing Director of the Company, will step down from his current role effective April 30, 2025. The move comes as Hrosz prepares to transition to another position within the Sanofi group.
As per the BSE filing, Rodolfo Hrosz, Managing Director of the Company, has intimated the Board of Directors about his decision to step down from his current role, in view of his movement to another role within the Sanofi group. The Board of Directors have accepted his resignation and place on record their immense appreciation for Rodolfo Hrosz’s valuable contribution during his tenure as the Managing Director with the Company.
Accordingly, he shall cease to be the Managing Director of the Company and shall also cease to be a Key Managerial Personnel, Senior Management Personnel and member of the Board Committees effective from the close of business hours on 30th April 2025.
The Board will take necessary steps to appoint a suitable successor as the Managing Director of the Company in due course.
Further, upon recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and subject to the approval of the Shareholders, the Board of Directors have approved the appointment of Rodolfo Hrosz as an Additional Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 st May 2025.
Present in India since 1956, Sanofi is an innovative global healthcare company.
Prior to taking on his current role in India in June 2022, Rodolfo was General Manager of Sanofi’s Consumer Healthcare business in Brazil since 2017, when he first joined Sanofi. He brings with him a rich and diverse global experience ranging from commercial, marketing, and general management roles across several multinational companies, particularly in key emerging market.
Rodolfo has defined an ‘India for India’ strategy which is leading Sanofi to accelerated growth in key therapies, new business models and rapid transformation of its operations.
He is also an Executive Committee member of the OPPI (Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India).
Prior to joining Sanofi, he has worked with Pfizer, LVMH, Heineken and Procter & Gamble in USA and in Brazil.
An MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Hrosz is also qualified as a naval engineer and in finance and accounting.
