Sarosh Shetty to join Piramal Pharma as Interim - CEO of India Consumer Healthcare business, Nitish Bajaj resigns

In a BSE filing, Piramal Pharma has informed that Nitish Bajaj, Chief Executive Officer, India Consumer Healthcare and a Senior Management Personnel (‘SMP’) of the Company, has resigned to pursue an opportunity outside the organization.

His last working day will be 14th November, 2024.
The Company further informed that Sarosh Shetty has been engaged with effect from 14th October, 2024 in order to ensure a smooth transition process and shall function as ‘Interim - Chief Executive Officer, India Consumer Healthcare’ business after Nitish’s departure.

Shetty  brings 27 years of experience in leading global consumer driven organisations such as Hershey, Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, Whirlpool and Colgate Palmolive. This includes marketing and business leadership roles, both in India and globally. Sarosh has strong expertise in business strategy development, marketing planning, brand building, multi-channel communication, process transformation, innovation strategy, commercial initiatives, and organizational leadership. He has successfully scaled up new businesses and delivered competitive share gain across established categories.

In recent years, Sarosh has worked as an independent consultant, driving business strategy and growth for various consumer-focused businesses. In his last corporate role, he was in a global leadership role as the Director for Strategic Growth and Innovations for international markets at The Hershey Company.

Sarosh holds an M.B.A in Marketing from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management; and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Pune.
