Sun Pharma to set up manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh

Mumbai: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. will be setting up a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, Sun Pharma's Founder, Dilip Shangvi and his team met with the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the progress of the pharmaceutical sector and the setting up an end-to- end manufacturing facility in the state.

Mr. Dilip Shangvi said "I am pleased with the Chief Minister's understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the state, and added that the integrated development of the state was becoming clear as part of the Chief Minister's policy.

The Chief Minister explained to the team that the steps being taken by the government are for industrial progress and invited them to take advantage of this opportunity and invest in the state.
The Chief Minister also explained the steps being taken with the aim of integrated development in mind; highly transparent policies are being employed in industries. The state government is determined to make quality human resources available by making skills development/training accessible to all in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state government was particularly focused on environmentally friendly policies. The Opening of this facility will lead to the creation of more jobs and will contribute to the enhancement of the industrial sector in the state. Post the meeting, it was revealed that enhancing the state's manufacturing capacity and the State Government's ongoing consultations with the relevant authorities, will lead to the company successfully establishing a new industry.
The Chief Minister told the team that the state would cooperate and support the industries.
